Madi Couture’s inspiration began soon after our daughter Madisyn was born. Paige Premium jeans, 2 1/2 inch heels, and a wide variety of Velvet tops are what Madisyn spent her inutero days surrounded by at my position as a retail manager. Yes, I was indeed 8 months pregnant but this mama-to-be was not going to be caught deadwearing flats and sweats! Needless to say, with a mom who loves to be unique, Madi followed suit. She delayed her arrival in order to make her ‘Grande’ appearance on February 29th, 2008; our little Leap Year baby! While I always thought I would be ready to go back to work, all of you who have lil’ one’s of your own know that that thought was naive. No matter how much I LOVED my job, I couldn't bare the thought of leaving her for somebody else to raise! My husband and I made the conflicted decision that I would not go back to work and be the lucky mama that was there to nurture all of Madi’s milestone moments. Spending a significant amount of time online when Madi was first born (had to get my fashion fix!), I researched baby fashions that weren’t saturated in the Calgary market. I came across some great baby sites, but the only items that were offered for Mom were Maternity. What about the hip, post-baby Mom? With my knowledge and experience in women’s fashion and accessories, Madi Couture was born. I am SOOOOO excited to share my passion with all of you stylish Mommas! I always have one eye open for the new and ‘couture’ so our site will never tire! Even when the lil’ ones are all grown, Mom still needs to indulge!
